ATOL Certificate Supports New Regulations
From 1 October 2012, anyone in the U.K. who books an ATOL protected holiday or flight must be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. The ATOL Certificate is a standard document issued by anyone selling an ATOL-protected holiday, which makes clear how the trip is protected and by whom.
RWA’s Sell-It Suite system supports the fully automated issuing of ATOL certificates when appropriate products are sold or amended to ensure travel firms can comply with the new requirements. The certificates are sent to the customer via email as PDF files for both online bookings and bookings originated in the call-centre.
The certificates set out clearly what consumer protection the customer has through the ATOL scheme and the forms adhere to a strict format designed by the CAA.
