Equities Order Routing System
RWA have just delivered an Equities Order Routing System for CSFB. Orders placed by Credit Suisse Personal Banking (CSPB) in Zurich are sent via SWIFT to CSFB in London. There they are routed by market to a number of CSFB trading systems around the world for fulfilment.
The Order Routing System maintains a database of all part executions and may be interogated to determine the state of the orders at any time. In addition, since many of the trading systems operate on a daily basis, the Order Routing System must maintain the status of the order from one day to the next. It also copes with failures of either the SWIFT node or the trading systems, ensuring that essential trade information is preserved.
The Order Routing System is developed on the Solaris platform in C++, and employs a Sybase database, Sybase Open Client interfaces to trading systems and an IP link to a VAX ST400 SWIFT node
