Flemings Migration Planning Repository

RWA built and delivered a Migration Planning Repository (MIPS) for Flemings. This allows system and business analysts to capture the dependencies and relationships between business functions, systems and people, and business transactions.

The system provides: 

• Reports on the interfaces and data flows between systems
  
  
• 'Stories' showing the role each system plays in a selected business process
  
  
• Diagraming support to create Visio diagrams by interfacing directly to the MIPS database 
  
  
• Filtering capabilities allowing the reports, stories and diagrams to be generated to reflect the current situation or any chosen point in the future 
  
  
• Tools for establishing and managing migration projects using the complex relationship and dependency information contained within the repository. 

The solution uses Microsoft NT V4.0, Microsoft Access V2, SQLServer V6.5 and VISIO Professional 4.5
